The British way of doing things was far too obvious. The America way of doing things requires some reflection
In June, the Americans were made to look like fools after they invited the Indian PM to the US and gave him the floor at the Congress. After using the stage to deflect attention from the ethnic cleansing taking place at home in the state of Manipur he departed the US without offering them an arms deal.
In order to appease the Americans, the Modi government cleared a military drone deal before he left for the US. The moment the wheels of Air India One lifted off US soil, news broke…
Amid claims that the valuation of the drone deal announced with the US was on the higher side, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) on Sunday clarified that the price, $3,072 million quoted by the Biden administration for 31 MQ-9B unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) to India, is not final and would be negotiated before inking the pact.

Loosely translated - This whole deal is still up in the air.
Boy were they pissed. Indian dependence on Russian arms is considered the biggest reason for the American inability to convert India into a vassal state.
To add insult to injury, India placed an order for Rafael Jets from France upon his return to India.
Then a few things happened…
First Trudeau, at the expense of looking like an absolute idiot made a claim in his parliament that India had conducted a covert murder of a Canadian citizen. He accused without offering evidence. To this day he has offered none. Maybe he was doing this completely out of his own volition, maybe not.
Then a few weeks ago, Apple randomly sent out a mail to all opposition MPs in India stating that their phones were being surveilled by the ruling government. Then feigned ignorance!
Both incidents were huge international embarrassments. When it comes to the West making claims, the burden of evidence is always on the accused! The classic example was their claim that Iraq has “Weapons of Mass Destruction”.
Our PM cares a great deal about how he is seen overseas. This international view promised to fuck up fundraising for the upcoming elections in 2024. Not to mention, the showing of the ruling party has been appalling in recent local elections.
A more than $3 billion deal for India to buy 31 armed drones made by General Atomics is also being processed and India is waiting for the company to get U.S. government clearances for the next steps, Aramane said.
Washington had offered several infantry combat vehicle systems and New Delhi has expressed interest, he added without giving details.
Let me tell you how England got rich 2 centuries ago…
How Did Mercantilism Affect the British Colonies?
England enacted new laws during the 16th and 18th centuries, putting tariffs on imports of foreign goods and restricting shipping through English channels. As such, mercantilism became the key economic model of the time. It encouraged the colonists to purchase goods from England rather than rival nations. The colonies sent raw materials to England where they were manufactured into finished products and sold to the colonists. This allowed Britain to monopolize the slave trade, transporting slaves from English ports to America. High inflation and heavy taxation on the colonies caused a rift between the colonists and the British.
Of course, “encouraged” is a euphemism for forced.
And that is why America loves a good democracy.
Colonialism by any other name is still…
